Fencing work at the Jewish cemetery in Kosiv, Ukraine, is ongoing

With financial support from the Auswärtiges Amt (German Federal Foreign Office) and private donors, the ESJF has nearly completed the installation of a fence around the Kosiv Jewish cemetery, an undeniably historic site and an important place of pilgrimage.

Interesting fact: in the 1720s, the Baal Shem Tov, the founder of Hasidism, lived in the nearby mountains in seclusion and prayer.

When the fencing is completed, we will share more interesting information about this burial site.
