Since the ESJF’s establishment, we have developed partnerships with Jewish communities, municipal authorities, activists, Jewish heritage NGOs and educational institutions across Europe. We work closely with our partners in every aspect of our mission such as the logistics of our survey trips and fencing projects, the organisation of rededication ceremonies, educational events, general upkeep of burial sites as well as the combatting of legal issues faced in relation to cemetery ownership.
It is our aim to work alongside the organisations that are already active in Central and Eastern Europe, both Jewish and non-Jewish, in order to build on existing networks and expertise, thereby sharing and optimising approaches to Jewish heritage preservation. By working with national and regional Jewish communities at every opportunity, we aim to educate and inspire the next generation to protect and preserve local Jewish heritage.
We are extremely grateful for all of our partners and would like to thank them for their contribution to the preservation of the Jewish cemeteries of Europe!
