With more than 100 architecture and engineering students participating, our Online Drone Training Course is well underway. Last week, we held a live webinar, which is a core element of the program.

The event opened with a presentation by Esther Zyskina, who spoke about Jewish cemeteries as sites of cultural heritage, focusing on the symbolism and epitaphs found on Jewish tombstones. After that, Tetiana Kondratenko — one of Ukraine’s top drone experts — explained the pros and cons of different UAV models and what to look for when choosing the right drone for work.

Participants may complete the remaining modules of the course by mid-July.

This course has become a regular part of our educational work. Since its inception, it has reached more than 500 students worldwide. Most of them study architecture or engineering — and one day, they may be the ones making decisions: will the Jewish cemetery be preserved or demolished?

The Online Drone Training Course was developed by the ESJF in cooperation with DroneUA, and is being held with financial support from the Auswärtiges Amt (German Federal Foreign Office).
