The ESJF team is currently surveying 40 more Jewish cemeteries across Slovakia — wrapping up our national survey! Work is well underway, with 26 new sites located since last Thursday.
On Thursday, the ESJF began a new phase of surveying Jewish cemeteries in Slovakia to conclude our national survey of the country! This follows intensive research work at the National Archive in Bratislava, which have led us to survey an additional 40 sites. Led by ESJF Senior Surveyor Ian Galevskii we exploring Košice and Presov regions.
