The ESJF has fenced the Jewish cemetery in Csákvár, Hungary

This week, we have completed fencing the Jewish cemetery in the town of Csákvár, located in central Hungary. The cemetery, which contains approximately 300 tombstones, is now physically protected.

The fencing of this burial site was made possible thanks to the financial support of the Auswärtiges Amt (Federal Foreign Office of Germany), the help of our partners at the Federation of Hungarian Jewish Communities (MAZSIHISZ-Magyarországi Zsidó Hitközségek Szövetsége), and especially our country coordinator, Mária Baranyi.

The Csákvár Jewish cemetery is the first site fenced by the ESJF in Hungary in 2025, and the 13th overall in the country.
