General site condition
Unfenced Jewish cemetery. The cemetery is situated in the woods on land belonging to the Roman Catholic church. There are a few paths leading through the cemetery to private houses. According to a worker from the local council, youth use the site to drink alcohol and use drugs. They contacted the Jewish community in Banska Bystrica to make a wall here but there have been no developments since. The local council are powerless in this situation as they do not own the land.

14. Most of the tombstones have been toppled by vandals. Some are located 30 metres from the site in a stream, or even on the other side of the stream.

Given the oldest preserved tombstone is dated 1892 , it can be inferred the cemetery was already in use by thelate 19th century. It can also be found marked on an Austro-Hungarian map of the region from the 1880s.
