Historical overview

The first Jewish cemetery was located around the synagogue, which stood on the site of today's Ratuszowa Street. Next to it, there is the building of the Jewish community (18 Fabryczna Street), which now houses a cafe, and where Louis Lewandowski, a composer, was born in 1821.
