Historical overview

The exact period of the cemetery establishment is unknown. According to IAJGS the Jewish Cemetery was established in the 19th century. The cemetery was also mentioned in the Yizkor memorial book of Vysots’k issued in 1963 and is marked on its map. According to the testimony of natives of Vysots’k, recorded in the memorial book, the cemetery was an ancient one, in which all the matzevot were wooden with the exception of one made of marble from 1909. Nowadays there are no visible traces of the cemetery or its boundaries.
