Historical overview

According to the Commission on the Preservation of Jewish Heritage, the cemetery was demolished in the 1920s, a residential building was built on the territory, and part of it was ploughed. It is not marked on maps.

Vil’sk (Ukr. Вільськ, Rus. Вильск, Yid. ווילבק) was the home of a Jewish agricultural colony in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Very little is known about the colony or the cemetery. According to the 1994–95 survey of the Jewish Preservation Committee (KSEN), the cemetery was demolished in the 1920s, later the land was plowed and a house was built after WWII.
