Historical overview

The exact period of the cemetery’s establishment is unknown but the oldest preserved gravestone dates to the early 20th century. The cemetery can first be found marked on a Russian topographic map from the 1860s and, later, on maps from 1941. As such, it can be assumed that it already existed in the mid 19th century.
