Historical overview
A local resident, above age 60, remembers that in his childhood he and a friend, who lived opposite the cemetery site, collected and smashed Jewish gravestones from this cemetery. The cemetery is not marked on any available maps.
There is almost no information on Jewish community in Orlove Pole. It is known that in 1868 a synagogue operated. This can be an evidence that Jewish community existed at that period. Its fate during WWI and Holocaust is unknown.
