Historical overview
The exact location of the Jewish cemetery is undefined. According to Yan Kovachek, a local historian, the Jewish cemetery was located adjacent to the municipal cemetery. The expedition team, working on local testimony, reported that the Jewish cemetery was located on the site which is now occupied by the municipal cemetery. It is not marked on old maps of the region. It was most likely demolished and built over.
