General site condition
Old jewish cemetery of Nidzica in a wooded area on the northern part of the town. The area is surrounded by private residential properties. Cemetery is densely overgrown and almost impenetrable. A cemetery old forest has also been preserved. Some old traces of digging have been found. Several tombstones have preserved.

11 tombstones. Our field team has found 1 one intact matzevah and 10 parts of graves, including the concrete frames and bases.

Historical overview
The old Jewish cemetery in Nidzica was most probably established at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. Chamsach Baruch probably contributed to its creation. The necropolis on a rectangular plan, with an area of approx. 0.16 ha, was located north-east of the city, approx. 1.2 km from the center, on the road to Napiwoda via Waszulki.
The last known burial took place in the late 1930s. During World War II, the cemetery was devastated by the Germans.
The old forest has also been preserved. At the end of the 1980s, the necropolis was surrounded by a wire mesh fence.
