Historical overview
The exact period of the cemetery’s establishment is unknown. However, as it can be found on Russian maps of the region from the 1860s it can be assumed it was founded in the mid 19th century. Later, it can be found marked on a map from 1929. The oldest preserved tombstone on the site dates to the early 20th century.
