General site condition
Jewish cemetery of Lidzbark Welski is situated in the southern part of the town. The area is partially destroyed. Central part of the cemetery area is a meadow, covered with wild grasses. Some areas (along western and northern borders) are densely overgrown and extremely littered. Above-ground heating pipes were run through the cemetery area. Only tombstone bases and concrete grave’s frames have survived.

Historical overview
I talked to a man who lives right next to the cemetery and tries to guard the necropolis on his own. He said that the cemetery is a place of frequent alcohol parties and that he often called the police for it. He complained that eggs were being thrown at his house in revenge.
He also said that human bones were unearthed during the widening of Kraziewicza Street and when working on the heat pipelines. He does not know what was done with them afterwards, but he was indignant that the place of Jewish burials was treated this way.
