Historical overview

The area of the Jewish cemetery is used by the municipal cemetery. It is not known whether this part of the cemetery was ever used for Jewish burials. Certainly, the New Jewish cemetery was once part of the municipal cemetery, Pątnowska Street was a cemetery avenue, and the municipal cemetery itself ended from the west at Cmentarna Street.
