Historical overview
Presumably, the Jewish Cemetery in Korytnyany was established in the 19th century. The cemetery appears on a cadastral map from 1863, but was demolished presumably in the 1980s.
Jews are believed to have arrived in the Kholmets’ area in the 19th century. According to the census of 1930, there were 33 Jews living in the town of Korytnyany. During World War II, the Jewish community was killed. No Jews live in the town today.
