General site condition
Demolished cemetery. There is an arboretum of the Polish Academy of Sciences on the site of the cemetery. Fragments of matzevot found in Kórnik were placed in the so-called Needle's Eye (ucho igielne) on Plac Niepodległości 30. The needle's eye door is opened once a year on the Catholic Day of the Dead. The eye of the needle itself was the passage leading to the synagogue.
