Historical overview

The exact period of the cemetery’s establishment is unknown. Given it appears on a Russian map of the region from 1860 and, later, a German map from 1941, it can be assumed it was founded in the mid 19th century. Today, only a few minor traces of the cemetery’s existence remain on the site.
