The Jewish cemetery in Józefin is situated in the forest close to the road from Lipiany to Żelice, about 50 meters to the north-west from the junction with the dirt road to Józefin. Access is via a path that leads from the dirt road to Józefin. The path goes almost straight west towards the cemetery.

It cannot be considered that the cemetery is fenced and protected, because its fence is a simple, very low fence (maximum 100 cm) made of wooden boards (two planks between the posts), which in many places is damaged, knocked down or simply non-existent.

General site condition
Partly preserved Jewish cemetery in the middle of a deciduous forest, in many places with old trees in its area (mostly oaks). Numerous remains of tombstones and some complete matzevot. The relics of the old stone cemetery wall have also been preserved. The area has an incomplete low wooden fence in poor condition. The cemetery is not marked or commemorated in any form.
