The Jewish cemetery is located among the farming fields in the north-eastern part of the village Janów. From No.30 Łąkowa Street proceed 200m south-east via Marii Bućko Street (from Janów to Kuplisk) and stop by the right side of the road. The cemetery is situated 50m from the northern side of the road.

The cemetery is mostly unfenced. There are the remains of a former masonry wall and a ruined gate. The western side of the graveyard is partly fenced by a low wire fence with iron posts (only 30-40m of the cemetery western border are fenced). Some sections of the cemetery (especially on the northern border) are marked by standalone wooden posts.

General site condition
The partially destroyed Jewish cemetery of Janów is situated outside the village in a rural area. It is surrounded by farmland. The border is only partially legible, marked with fence remnants. The area is not overgrown, although there is tall grass and nettles during late spring time. Near to the remains of the gate stands a family Holocaust memorial. Hundreds of tombstones have been preserved.
Number of existing gravestones
291 tombstones or their fragments. The majority of the tombstones are made of rough granite stone. Numerous matzevot are partially sunken into the ground, collapsed, and their inscriptions are illegible. A row of 20 tombstones (closest to the gate) are likely relocated from another site - the matzevot face north, not west, like the others.
