The Jewish cemetery of Géberjén existed as early as 1894, since it appears on the cadastral map of that year. However, the only date discovered on the few remaining tombstones in the cemetery is 1932.

There were only 9 Jews in Géberjén in 1840. The Jewish population reached its peak of 27 residents in 1920. Later, it decreased to 16 in 1930 and 17 in 1941. However, the Yad Vashem database mentions 46 Jews from this village who were murdered in Holocaust.
