On one side of the cemetery there is a concrete fence. The cemetery is heavily forested, overgrown and parts of it are overbuilt by houses. There are approximately 5 gravestones visible and in situ, and there is also a ruined ohel.

The cemetery is overgrown, only about 5 tombstones are visible and their inscriptions are not legible. On the pictures at sztetl.org from 2009 there are more tombstones visible, approximately around 20.

Historical overview

The Jewish cemetery in the town of Twierdza adjacent to Frysztak was established in the 18th century. Among the tombstones there is the tombstone of the Frysztak Rabbi Menachem Mendel Halberstam, a descendant of Chaim Halberstam from Nowy Sącz, who died on 21 adar 5686 (07/03/1926).
