Historical overview
The Jewish cemetery in Bledzew was established in the 19th century. It is situated in the forest, 1.5 km west of the village. The easiest way to get there is from the village's center, along Unlica Wodna, then to continue down its extension along the edge of the forest. The cemetery is situated on a small hill on the right side of the road. As a result of devastation, on the overall area of 0.2 ha about 20 tombs have been preserved, out of which the oldest one dates back to 1826. The tombstones (matzevot) were made of sandstone with inscriptions in German and Hebrew.
