General site condition
The Jewish cemetery of Byala is situated in a forested area in the south-western part of the town. The cemetery is adjacent to agricultural fields on its western border and private properties on the southern, northern and eastern borders. The cemetery area is well maintained by the local Commune and is open as a public park. The cemetery is a popular visitor attraction, there are access ramps for disabled people, gravel paths and information boards describing the history of the Cemetery. The site is overgrown with trees and dense thicket, however access to the tombstones is possible. Over 800 tombstones have preserved.

800. There are more than 800 Matzevot, the majority of which are standing intact. It is said that the cemetery contains more than 1000 tombstones.
