General site condition
Augustow ghetto cemetery is located in an urban area, the territory is surrounded by private residential households. The cemetery is well-maintained, the area is clean and the grass is mowed regularly. Tombstones and fragments of tombstones are well preserved.
Number of existing gravestones
80 tombstones from Augustów Ghetto cemetery were returned to the cemetery in the years 2014-2016. There are 30 intact tombstones and about 50 smaller fragments, placed in rows. Among the stone matzevot there is one made of cast-iron. The tombstones now present at Augustow ghetto cemetery, are most probably from the two other Jewish cemeteries of the town.
