Fencing work is currently underway at the Paușa Jewish cemetery in Romania

This Jewish burial site likely dates back to the 1880s. Today, several dozen gravestones remain, most of them from the 1910s and 1920s.

We would like to thank our local coordinator in Romania and the President of the Jewish Community of Sălaj, Dan Has, for his dedicated work in helping to protect this cemetery.

The fencing of the Paușa Jewish cemetery, along with all other ESJF fencing projects in Romania, is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.
