Our colloquium in the Czech Republic is just around the corner!
The ESJF, with support of the Foreign Ministry of the Federal Republic of Germany, invites activists and concerned parties to a colloquium “Restoration, Care, and Documentation: Jewish Cemeteries in the Czech Republic,” taking place from September 30 to October 1 in Prague.
This event is being held in cooperation with our local partners, the Jewish Community of Prague, Federace židovských obcí v ČR, Ústav dějin umění Akademie věd ČR, v. v. i., Židovské muzeum v Praze, and PROPAMÁTKY.
Petra Vladařová, Eva Janáčová, and Alexandra Fishel are organizing the colloquium.
The event will focus on Jewish cemeteries in the Czech Republic, covering their preservation, restoration, care, and documentation. Fencing strategies will also be discussed. The program includes visits to Prague’s Jewish cemeteries.
The language of the colloquium will be Czech.
