Museum professionals, specialists in regional history and cultural heritage, teachers, students, and everyone interested in Jewish heritage are invited to participate in a seminar dedicated to the preservation of Jewish cemeteries in Serbia.
The seminar will take place on 14-15 October 2026 in Novi Sad.
The two-day programme will include:
– lectures on the preservation of Jewish cemeteries in Serbia;
– a presentation of ESJF methodology and international experience in preserving Jewish cemeteries;
– a discussion on the restoration and future use of Jewish cultural heritage sites;
– a visit to the Jewish cemetery in Novi Sad;
– a guided tour of “Jewish Novi Sad,” focusing on the city’s Jewish history and heritage.

The seminar is organised by ESJF European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative in cooperation with the Jewish Community of Novi Sad and the Historical Archives of Novi Sad, with financial support from the German Federal Foreign Office.
