
The ESJF invites historians, local activists, school teachers, NGOs, and all interested to participate in the seminar on Jewish cemetery preservation!
The event will take place on August 13–14, 2025, in Budapest.
The seminar will cover the following topics:
1. Jewish heritage in Hungary
2. Reading epitaphs and understanding symbols on Jewish gravestones
3. Practical guidelines for maintaining Jewish cemeteries
4. Exploring Jewish heritage sites in Budapest
5. A visit to a Jewish cemetery in Budapest

Applicants will be informed of the selection results by 18 July.

Please note: spots are limited; travel expenses must be covered by participants; one night of accommodation (if needed – please indicate this on the form) will be provided. The seminar will be held in Hungarian.
