We invite you to take part in a two-day seminar on preserving Jewish cemeteries, organized by the ESJF European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative in collaboration with Oradea Heritage (The Foundation for the Protection of Historical Monuments in Bihor County), the Bihor County School Inspectorate (Inspectoratul Şcolar Judeţean Bihor), and the Jewish Community of Oradea (Comunitatea Evreilor din Oradea & JCC Oradea).
The two-day seminar will be held in Oradea, Romania, on 24-25 November 2025.
During the event, we will explore the history of Jews in Oradea and Bihor County, the art and symbolism of Jewish cemeteries, and methods for studying their heritage value.
