It is with great pleasure that the ESJF European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative invites you to take part in a EU-funded Webinar and Hackathon under the ‘Preserving Jewish Cemeteries’ grant online on 19th & 20th June.

With sessions on the application of drones in the work of the ESJF from Office Manager, Alexander Bessarab and on the useage of historical maps in hertiage preservation from the ESJF’s Historical Researcher, Dr Katerina Malakhova as well as workshops on photogrammetry and Pix4d from Drones Specialist, Hlib Lisovyi and Pix4d Senior Technical Trainer and content creator, Ryan Hughes, you will learn all you need to know about the interesting intersection of UAV technology and Jewish heritage preservation.

The Hackathon will be concluded with a technical assignment using Pix4d and the ESJF’s data to specify potentially dangerous site territories. Three prizes will be awarded to the students who perform the best!

Applications are welcome from across the globe.
