Consortium to preserve Jewish cemteries conducts seminar for Georgian teachers

Over the past two days, the ESJF’s consortium partner Centropa hosted a seminar for Georgian teachers in Tbilisi! The seminar is one of 7 seminars within our new EU grant, which is funded by the European Commission.

Centropa were excited to meet engaged Georgian teachers, who participated in our previous EU grant online. Thanks to the new grant, they got to meet these motivated teachers in person to discuss Jewish cemeteries and how they can incorporate them into the classroom.

During the seminar, participants learnt about the ESJF’s mission to save Jewish cemeteries from Klara V. Lisinski, ESJF Project Manager. The ESJF’s guide to “Jewish Cemeteries in the Classroom” was also used in the seminar to support the teacher’s learning. The guide can be found in the publications section of our website.
