We invite representatives of local public authorities, cultural institutions, tourist information centres and museums, as well as guides, researchers, and community leaders to take part in a two-day international educational seminar dedicated to the preservation, protection, and promotion of Jewish heritage as an integral part of the cultural heritage of the Republic of Moldova.
When: 7-8 July 2026
Where: 7 July – Chișinău; 8 July – Călărași.
Topics to be covered during the seminar include:
• preservation and protection of cultural heritage, including Jewish heritage sites, cemeteries, and memorials;
• legal aspects of cultural heritage protection at both national and local levels;
• integrating Jewish heritage sites into tourism routes;
• development of local museums and cultural initiatives;
• the Jewish cemetery as a historical site and methods for its study;
• exchange of experience and best practices in the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage.
