The ESJF conducts all its surveys and activities in close cooperation with local authorities in all the towns and villages in which it works, carefully designing architectural plans to fit the environment and the specific needs of local people.
In the course of our surveys this week in Ukrainian Transcarpathia, ESJF’s Transcarpathian Project Manager Ian Galevski met with the mayors of Storozhnytsia, Dubrynychi, Zarichovo, and Kholmets to receive formal planning permission from the local authorities. We look forward to embarking on this delicate process and hope to start our preservation work on these sites soon.
