Surveys in Belarus continue apace

In just under two weeks of field exploration in Belarus, our researchers have already visited close to 100 Jewish cemeteries. We expect to visit around 500 sites before the close of this project. Surveys so far have been in the Minsk, Homel, Grodno, and Moghilev regions.

The mass survey project of Jewish cemeteries in Belarus is a collaborative effort with the U.S. Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad.
