General site condition
An enormous amount of litter and rubbish was found at the site. As well as many fallen adn cut down tree branches.It appears that this territory operates as the dumping site of the municipal cemetery.

Historical overview
The Jewish cemetery of Jéke was in use as early as 1870, since it appears on the cadastral map of that year. The only preserved tombstone found in the cemetery dates back to 1916.
There was never a significant Jewish community in Jéke. There were 23 Jewish residents in 1836, 11 in 1848, 19 in 1870, 6 in 1880, 10 in 1890, 15 in 1900, 15 in 1910, 12 in 1920, and 7 in 1930. In 1941, Jews accounted for 6 individuals among the village’s total population of 673. Three Jews from Jéke are reported in the Yad Vashem database to have been murdered in Holocaust.
