Our first 2017 fence construction

Today we successfully completed the construction of a concrete-panelled fence at the Jewish Cemetery in Verba, Rivne Oblast, in NW Ukraine. Fencing had previously been erected at the site but the ESJF successfully extended its borders with a more substantial barrier, thereby protecting the entire site from the imminent threat of agricultural encroachment. The concrete has been covered in a special protective material and designed specifically to avoid conflict with the adjacent rural landscape.

This is the first of the ESJF projects in 2017, with many more in the pipeline. Special thanks to Avrom Bendavid Tal, who for many years has worked to preserve this cemetery and its graves.
