Fenced Cemeteries Visited by Rabbinical surveyor in Ukraine

ESJF Projects Monitor Ram Moshe Ravad and Western Ukraine Projects Coordinator Ian Galevskii went on a monitoring visit to several regions in Ukraine between 17-20 February. Despite challenging weather conditions, over a kilometre of fencing was checked in total. In four days they visited Fastiv, Ruzhyn, Nova Pryluka, Yakymivka, Makhnivka and Voronovytsia.

As the number of constructed fences grow, it is increasingly important to check their condition, quality and the condition of the sites regularly. Parallel to Ram Moshe Ravad’s visit, we also conducted Rabbinical surveys in Ukraine, to verify that they are built according to halachic standards.

To date, the ESJF has fenced 162 sites in 8 countries.
