This week, the ESJF received formal authorisation from five local councils in Belarus to commence fencing projects at Jewish cemetery sites in their towns. ESJF Projects Coordinator Ihor Travianko and Alexei Erohin, representative of the Union of Religious Jewish Congregations in the Republic of Belarus, were both in attendance at the meetings.
The ESJF has scheduled projects for this summer at the following sites in Belarus: Ivyanets and Bobovnya (Minsk region), Svysloch and Zaverezhye (Mohilev region), and Tikhinichi (Gomel region).
