General site condition
Jewish section within municipal cemetery. The section is severely overgrown with trees and bushes. Some of the graves are well-maintained. There is a security guard at the entrance.

Historical overview

The cemetery emerged as a Jewish burial ground in the 1820-s. The site is marked as a Jewish cemetery on the topographic map of 1860s. During  WWII, the site was badly damaged. After the war, a municipal cemetery was established in its place, with Jewish and Christiansections. During the Lo Tishkach project expedition of 2016, the tombstone of presumably 1909 was found.  In 2019 ESJF team could not localise it
